At JoeyClean, we understand the importance of using high quality film when window tinting. This is why we have chosen to use Union Window Films. It is a popular choice among tint installers for various reasons. Union's Carbon and Ceramic IR films are trusted by some of the best, including Tesla, Ferrari, McLaren, and Audi to name a few. First, it helps reduce glare from the sun and headlights just above the driver's line of sight, enhancing visibility and safety when driving. Second, it can provide some level of UV protection to the dashboard and interior without significantly darkening the entire windshield.

Choosing to apply Union Window Film exclusively to the sunroof offers many advantages. First and foremost, it helps to reduce the amount of heat and sunlight that enters the vehicle through the sunroof, enhancing overall comfort, especially during hot and sunny days. This can help regulate the interior temperature and reduce the need for excessive air conditioning, contributing to better energy efficiency. It can also cut the UV exposure from above. some factory tinted glass does not block UV like our window tint does.

Please bring your vehicle to your tinting appointment clean. We use the exterior of your vehicle windows as a template to custom cut our film. This can be difficult or impossible if it is dirty. If you would like to add a Hand Wash to your appointment, please let us know and we will gladly do that for you. This will add approximately 30 min to the front end of the job. We may need to get into your vehicle when tinting so please remove personal items from the interior. We will be sure to clean up after ourselves when we complete the install. Anything left in the vehicle we will do our best and try to put back where we found it. We will not be responsible for lost/missing items.
At JoeyClean, we currently offer UNION window films. We have chosen what we feel to be the best film available to us that will suit the needs of our valued customers. We may be adding or changing films over time so please check with us before your appointment. We will always use the film discussed with you prior to your appointment. Window films are always improving like so many other products we use. We will do our best to provide the very best for you.
Avoid Rolling Down Windows:
It is important that you keep your windows closed for 3-5 days after install. This time period allows the adhesive to cure properly ensuring the film adheres to the glass properly.
Temp. Bubbling Patchiness:
Don't be alarmed if you see water bubbles or a patchy appearance. This is a normal part of the drying process. Given that we use water for the installation process, moisture behind the film can remain for up to several weeks. Cold/Warm weather can affect the curing/drying time.
Dot Matrix Effect:
Another common occurrence is the "white halo" effect around the edges of windows. This happens because the film does not conform to the raised black dots well initially. Over time as the film cures it can settle in and reduce the appearance of this halo. Not all windows have this but many rear and back side windows do.
We are confident that you will be thrilled with your tint once fully dried and cured. Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns with the after care process. We are here to ensure your satisfaction with your tint investment.
*Please be careful loading or moving items into/around the vehicle. Our window films are tough and durable but not magic. The film can be scratched and torn if not careful.
This warranty is held by (CUSTOMER NAME) and is valid for as long as they have ownership of the vehicle. In the unlikely event that the window film application should experience an adhesive failure such as cracking, glazing, delamination, peeling, excessive or unusual color change or any other failure due to a manufacturer’s defect, then the company will provide a replacement. The company shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense or cost caused or partially caused through improper film care, cleaning, abuse or glass breakage.
At JoeyClean, we stand by our work. If you notice anything about your tint that concerns you, Please let us know. We will either explain what it is or we will find a solution and repair or replace the film in question. We are afterall, installing a film over the glass. There is always a risk of debris or small specs under the film. Though we do our very best to avoid this, there is always a chance that there may be imperfections. Damage caused by the customer will not be covered by any warranty. We strongly encourage you to follow the after care plan.
Factory tint, also known as Privacy Glass, is a process called "deep dipping" that involves dyeing the inside of automotive glass with a dark pigment. Typically, it's standard on the rear half of many new vehicles, offering a visual light transmission (VLT) of 15–26%. Privacy glass is primarily installed to provide passengers and belongings with privacy from outside viewers. This is done to ensure compliance with the VLT legal limit, which is usually around 50% for the front driver windows and the windshield in most states.
While privacy glass has some UV protection capabilities, it still allows infrared light to pass through, leading to heat transmission. Although it reduces heat to some extent, it's not as effective as ceramic window film.
Certain vehicle manufacturers are now introducing various glass types in their vehicles to improve heat rejection within the cabin. Unlike window film, privacy glass is a permanent part of the glass and cannot be removed. To achieve similar benefits to window film, the alternative is to apply clear window film over the factory tint, especially on the two front windows. This not only helps match the privacy glass to the front windows but also enhances heat reduction and UV protection, making it a beneficial choice for improving comfort and safety while driving.
